We will make Veg Dum Biryani in exactly the same way as Chicken or Mutton Dum Biryani. We just have to take vegetables instead of chicken or mutton, which we will make by making Veg Dum Biryani. The rest of the material will remain the same and it will take less time.
Ingredients for Veg Dum Biryani Making at Home – वेज दम बिरयानी घर पर बनाये
Vegetables
(Cauliflower,Bins,Carrot,Green Pea, Potato etc ) – 100 Gm
Curd – 50 Gm
Cinnamon – 2-3 Small Piece
Bay Leaf – 1-2
Black Pepper – 5-6
Big Cardamom – 2-3
Shahijira – 1/2 tbsp
Paste Ginger Garlic – 50 Gm
Garam Masala Powder – 1/2 tbsp
Chilli Powder – 1/2 tbsp
Green chilli – 4-5
Nutmeg – 1/2 tbsp (Finely Chopped )
Oil – 50 ML
Onion – 1 (Finely Chopped )
Salt – As per Taste
Rice – 250 Gm ( Basmati )
Kevda Essence – As per Requirement
Food Colour – As per Requirement
Coriander Leaves – 1/2 Cup

How to make Veg Dum Biryani Making at Home – वेज दम बिरयानी घर पर बनाये
- First wash all the vegetables with water,
- Now cut the vegetables into small size and keep them in a big pan.
- Now add curd, vegetables cinnamon, big cardamom, shahijira,black pepper, Ginger garlic paste,Garam Masala Powder and Chilli Powder and Salt.
- Mix all these well with a spoon so that the spices and curd will be wrapped in all the vegetables.
- Now cut the green chillies into two long pieces and put it.
- You can scrape nutmeg with the help of a knife and mix it.
- Now put oil in a pan and heat it,
- When the oil is well heated then add chopped onions.
- Now fry it till it becomes red.
- Put oil and onion hot in the vegetable pan.
- Now mix it well and keep it covered for 1 hour.
- Till then wash the rice and let it soak in water.
Veg Dum Biryani Making at Home
- After 1 hour put the rice on the gas to cook
- Now keep the mixture of vegetable and curd in a low flame in the gas.
- Remove the rice if it is half cooked.
- Drain the water of the rice and pour it into the vegetable and yogurt mixture according to the layer
- Now add a little sprinkle of food color and kevda essence to it.
- Make a layer of rice again and do the same
- Now leave it for cooking 15-20, and cover it well.
- Make sure that it is not able to remove steam from anywhere.
- Turn off the gas after 15-20 minutes
- Open the lid and sprinkle coriander leaves on it.
Take your Veg Dum Biryani is ready, now you can serve it, keep in mind that while serving, take out the Biryani from one side, and mix it down so that the mixture of the vegetables below goes well with the rice.
